Rubeena Yoosuf is a Current Examiner and former Head of Chemistry at a Central London school, with experience teaching all sciences up to GCSE and specialising in Chemistry at A-level.

Her examining work gives her direct insight into exactly what separates a good answer from a top-scoring one, insight she brings into every lesson. She has taught Chemistry across London, from high-performing schools to communities where access to quality teaching is hard to come by. Shivam Agrawal is an experienced chess player, having captained the England Junior team at several international tournaments and leading his school team to multiple podium finishes at the National Schools Finals as well as winning the Senior Team Chess Challenge 5 years in a row. Individually, he has consistently ranked at the top for his age group in the UK, having come runner up twice in a row in the British Junior Chess Championship.

His competitive experience playing chess at the highest level, both individually and in high-performing teams, has given him acute insights, elite instincts and a comprehensive knowledge of the game. With his highly analytical and systematic approach, he is able to easily break down key concepts and complex motifs for students to understand and apply in their own games.

Having helped to run chess for 2 years at his secondary school as a prefect, he is able to communicate concepts clearly to students and help bridge the gap between novice and advanced understanding of the game. Shivam takes a holistic approach to his coaching, making sure to cover the game in its entirety, from opening theory and tactical awareness, to middlegame strategy, time management and endgame mastery. He helps students identify their areas of strength and weakness and analyses their games with them so they can see exactly what they need to work on, and how they are improving in real time.
