Most sessions are online for convenience. Face-to-face sessions are available on request in the Tunbridge Wells area. I start group tution with a minimum of 3 pupils. Masterclasses are held in-person at Camden Centre, Tunbridge Wells. https://shivalimaths.co.uk/courses/gcse-maths-masterclasses
Students are carefully matched by year group, ability level, target grade, and exam board. This ensures every student receives targeted support alongside peers facing similar challenges. Max group size is 6 Pupils.
Edexcel, AQA, OCR, and IGCSE for GCSE, and Edexcel boards for A Level Maths.
I offer a free consultation to discuss your child's needs and whether small group or 1:1 support is the right fit. First lesson is a Prepaid, no-obligation session. It gives both students and their parents the opportunity to decide whether I'm the right tutor before committing to further lessons
A Level sessions are all recorded with parental consent, allowing students to revisit material or catch up if they miss a session. Recorded sessions are available until the end of the academic year
Absolutely. I've extensive experience dealing with SEN students & I create a supportive environment where mistakes are celebrated. Please read my blog on Maths anxiety https://shivalimaths.co.uk/blog & please check reviews from the clients.
Not at all. I've taught students from grammar, independent, and comprehensive schools across Kent. Wherever your child goes to, tuition is tailored to their specific exam board, ability, and target grade not their school type.
Group sessions are already priced lower than 1:1, since the cost is shared across students so that's built in from the start rather than a separate discount. However I do offer sibling discount on online 1:1 session. Sibling discount - if more than one child from the same family is having online 1:1 tuition, the sibling on the lower-priced rate gets 10% off. So if one child is having GCSE 1:1 (£55/hour) and another is having A Level 1:1 (£75/hour), the 10% applies to the GCSE session, regardless of which sibling joined first. This discount applies to 1:1 sessions only, since group sessions are already discounted.
Because it's where everything comes together in one sitting. Regular lessons build understanding over weeks, but the Masterclass takes a full afternoon to focus purely on exam technique, c ommon traps, and higher-grade question strategies that regular lessons don't always have time to drill in depth. It's the closest thing to a full mock-exam run in person, in a single sitting. Its my flagship due to the high quality exclusive resources I provide & I teach them how to think like an examiner. Please check my masterclass exit ticket from the last session. https://shivalimaths.co.uk/courses/gcse-maths-masterclasses
The sessions are specifically designed for Year 11 students preparing, as well as Year 10 students who are fast-tracking and sitting their GCSE Maths early. Both groups follow the same exam timeline and content.
